What is an Active School?

Ballinora National School is aiming to achieve the Active Flag. This flag is awarded to schools that strive to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community. The process aims to get more schools, more active, more often. 

ASF is supported by Healthy Ireland and forms part of the National Physical Activity Plan. 80% of Irish children, currently, are not active enough. By following this initiative Ballinora National School hopes to get the whole school more active, within the school day, with an emphasis on FUN and INCLUSION.
